The inventor was Willis Carrier. He invented the air conditioner in 1902, due to solve a problem at the Sackett & Wilhelms Lithography and Printing Company in Brooklyn, New York.
Carrier's first mechanical drawings were a year before he graduated from Cornell University. His drawings were not only of the air conditioner, but also from different inventions such as the heating plant, a lumber dry kiln, a coffee dryer, etc. He founded Carrier Corporation.
